Trials and Returns
Purchasing 2-way communications equipment is commonly a faith based experience.  We don't think it should be that way.  That is why we offer a Try Before You Buy Program

Providing a way to guarantee your satisfaction is a great idea. One of the ways we strive to serve our prospective customers is to allow a trial period on many of the products we sell. We've learned the hard way that programs of this type have to be well managed or it can be a disaster for all concerned. That is why we have requirements that make this program fair and equitable for all concerned.

It begins with selecting a qualifying product such as the ICOM F3061 or F70D, both extremely good choices for public safety users. We know how well these products perform but you have no way of evaluating our claim unless you try it for yourself. Here's how we do it. We provide a simple form that allows you to specify your programming information. On this form (which you sign), you agree to return the product to us within 15 days or you'll pay for it - simple as that!  The form is available at
www.info4u.us/eztry.dot.

Corporate and governmental agencies can issue an evaluation purchase order or provide a credit card number which will be retained but not used unless the equipment isn't returned as agreed. We will call you at the end of 15 days for your decision which is basically to keep and pay or return within 72 hours as you choose. It is your responsibility to get the equipment back to us with your choice of personal return or shipping through a carrier such as UPS where the shipment can be tracked.

You are responsible for return of the equipment and all documentation in undamaged condition. You will be charged for any damage or missing items. If you have the ability to properly pack return equipment, well and good. Otherwise, we suggest using a local packing and shipping service to assure the equipment is not damaged in transit.

We mentioned earlier some of the disasters that could have been avoided if we had followed the rules of this program. Case number one - We delivered an evaluation radio to a police department, returned two weeks later to pick up the equipment and were told that they had not taken the time to evaluate the product. We could either take it (with an assurance of no sale) or leave it for an unspecified period of time for evaluation. We did this not once but with two different departments. We won't do it again!

Case number two involved leaving some radios with an EMA agency for evaluation by courthouse security personnel. A month went by and we heard nothing. When we finally called, we found that (a) the equipment had not been delivered to the courthouse for evaluation, (b) the EMA director had resigned, and (c) he had told no one where the equipment was located or even mentioned that he had evaluation equipment in his possession. That won't happen again!

The all time classic was a golf course where we delivered a complete system of call boxes, radios, wireless PA system, and accessories. Two weeks came and went without a call. We called the prospective customer the third week and were told that they hadn't gotten around to it. Another three weeks went by. This time when we called, we were told that our point of contact was out for surgery and was not expected to return for several months. This is why we have a procedure for handling trials and demonstrations. Hope you understand!

The same program that applied to trial equipment also applied to equipment purchased from Falcon Direct. If you purchase a product that you find unsatisfactory or for other reasons needs to be returned, you may do so within 15 days after receipt at no charge (assuming it is in original undamaged condition with all documentation included). Just give us a call at 800.489.2611 for a return approval. You will be given full credit excluding shipping and special programming charges if applicable.

If you keep the equipment more than 15 days but less than 180 days, there will be a 25% restocking fee. Equipment kept for more than 180 days but less than 360 days will be subject to a 50% restocking fee. Equipment kept for longer than 360 days cannot be returned. All returns are subject to acceptance of equipment in a working and undamaged condition.

Fair and flexible is what we are all about! We look forward to serving you!
